Threats to Penguins

There are 18 unique penguin species in the world, although two species – the northern rock and fish and the southern rock are fish – are sometimes considered to be the same species. While some penguins are widespread and thriving, 13 of them have lost population. Without strong conservation measures and conservation measures, five penguin species will be considered endangered and face the possibility of extinction.
