VP Online vs. VP Desktop
While the Unified Platform brings your work together, Visual Paradigm offers two primary product environments tailored for different needs:
- Visual Paradigm Online (VP Online): A cloud-based suite providing web-based tools. It includes lightweight diagramming, graphic design tools, chart makers, animation creators, office tools (Document, Spreadsheet, Presentation), flipbooks, a PDF editor, file converters, and a growing library of nearly 100 mostly AI-powered apps.
- Visual Paradigm Desktop (VP Desktop): A robust desktop modeling tool. Unlike lightweight diagramming, modeling focuses on deep data properties, complex inter-relationships (such as sub-diagrams and diagram transitions), team collaboration, and advanced reporting.
The Relationship: They complement each other. VP Desktop users with a valid license and active maintenance are automatically granted access to the web app features provided by VP Online, allowing them to use both environments seamlessly within the Unified Platform.
