Spacecraft Journeys in Early Stage

The (second) last time the United States left the moon’s surface was in December 1972, and it was the only country to have successfully carried out a mission to the moon so far, until recently when Chinese spacecraft landed on the moon in 2019.
2019 China Chang’E-4 Spacecraft
On January 3, 2019, China’s Chang ‘e-4 spacecraft landed on the other side of the moon for the first time. Before that, all soft landings had been on the front part of the moon.
